I began my involvement with ceramics in 1998 at Harper College in classes taught by Sam Rosby. I found ceramics involving and challenging, and I’ve stayed with it since then taking ceramics classes over and over.
In 2009, after moving to Wheaton, Illinois, I enrolled in a class at nearby ClaySpace Ceramics Arts Center, and in 2010 I became a Resident Artist.
I came to pottery after a career as a teacher and instructional designer – producing intangibles. But when I do pottery I produce something tangible. So, for me pottery is balance. And for me pottery is something to share.
