My journey at ClaySpace began in the fall of 2017. As a middle school art teacher, I was looking to develop and refresh the skills I needed to share with my students. As my competence and confidence grew, I fell in love with the challenge of creating art on the wheel. I love the feel of the clay and the pride in creating a piece of art that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
I am drawn to the beauty, mystery and unpredictability of the colored clay and the relaxing often meditative process of hand painting my pieces.
Pottery has given me the freedom to explore and find my artistic voice and I’m excited to see where this journey takes me.
